NoBacz Bovine
NoBACZ Bovine is the first topical protection product to offer a physical protective coating combined with a durable microbial barrier. It has been trialled in the toughest conditions on farm.
It consists of a hydrophobic natural resin that repels water and doesn’t dilute. The barrier is applied as a gel and sets gradually conforming to the skin as a flexible barrier that gradually removes itself and biodegrades on farm leaving no waste and no need to remove. It’s adaptive and can protect all types of lesion, the hydrophobic gel doesn’t fully seal when applied to very wet or exudative sites allowing any fluid formed underneath to escape.

About this product
NoBACZ Bovine is instantly waterproof, it’s hydrophpboc so won’t mix or dilute in moisture. It forms a set skin in around a minute and will be fully cured and pressure proof in about an hour (depending on product thickness). Unless immediately laying or walking on an abrasive bedding, stock can resume normal activity after application.
One of the major advantages of NoBACZ Bovine is that it’s set and forget. The barrier protects then degrades naturally over time – no need to remove.
Duration of complete barrier protection will vary according to skin’s condition. Factors such as exudate from skin, bleeding underneath and thickness of layer may reduce duration of protection. In normal conditions barrier protection is at least 48 hours and can be much longer.

Our herdsman has liked using it in terms of application, he says it goes on easily with little wastage as long as he has managed to dry the hoof well. It is definitely helpful for digi in terms of not having to see again to remove bandage, and we noticed no significant difference in resolution time between NoBACZ and bandage +/- Salicylic acid. We haven’t had any udder dermatitis to try it on, but I did use in on a lacerated teat which had been stitched to help prevent against infection and it created an adequate seal for the 3 days required.
